Black Magic

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
For this project, I needed to select one color and nine different subjects that best represented a variety of meanings for my selection. I then had to visually communicate the topics by using expressive typography to create a poster series and its housing.

PROJECT CONCEPT/DESIGN GOALS
To achieve the final results, I researched different materials to use and methods of creating the letterforms that visually represented the concepts selected. After some rough sketching and experimenting, I documented the experiments to choose the best images and printed the selections after refining them with Photoshop. I utilized texture, contrast, and scale to create visual interest for the different compositions and continued with these techniques when designing the housing for the poster series.
